The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in strength within the city.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows the region and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in House Halovar could help the team reach places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate learning which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
