I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
